Learning hasn’t stopped, yet!

Here’s what I have learnt so far…

  1. Don’t take things personally.
  2. You are an employee, irrespective of your position. So, respect everyone.
  3. You can be friendly with all, but you can’t expect the same from others. Work means business.
  4. You work for a purpose. Don’t forget it. Else, your boss will remind you.
  5. You will receive the best appreciations when you are about to quit.
  6. You’ll not receive the right feedback unless your boss takes interest in shaping your career.
  7. Your performance defines who you are. Your nature is secondary.
  8. Don’t compare yourself with others. It causes unnecessary stress.
  9. How others see you are more important than how you see yourself.
  10. Enjoy your work and office hours. You spend one-third of your life there.
  11. Never backbite someone. Walls have ears.
  12. Hard work earns respect but not rewards.
  13. Ask. Don’t assume anything.
  14. Don’t spread uncertain information. It’s called rumours.
  15. Show your potential and demand recognition. Crying baby gets milk.
  16. Always act. Never react!
  17. When you’re at work, avoid thinking about your home.
  18. Eat healthy, sleep well and enjoy your personal life. That’s why you earn.
  19. Don’t chase money, promotion and fame. Work with passion or quit.

You always have a choice. Choose wisely.
